pawTree® is concerned for the health of all animals. Our specifications for our farm-raised protein sources is that they are fed balanced, healthy feed, and have free access to water and access to being outside. As for our food being natural and organic, all of pawTree's nutrition and health products are proudly "natural". This means that they do not contain any artificial colors or preservatives (as defined by AAFCO, Association of American Feed Control Officials). "Organic" is a term that is clearly defined by the USDA and refers to the handling and processing of ingredients and products (including sourcing), not the quality of the product. It states that the ingredients (organic meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, and plant foods) come from farms that don't use any pesticides, antibiotics, or hormones. In addition, a government-approved certifier must inspect the farm to ensure these standards are met.
