Pregnant dogs can take the Wild Alaskan Salmon & Pollock Oil with no concern. We advise giving pregnant dogs the Joint Support Plus for Cats instead. The reason is because the Joint Support Plus for Dogs contains the herb Boswellia, which can contract the uterus. However, the Joint Support Plus for Cats does NOT contain Boswellia (or any of the other herbs) so pregnant dogs should take the cat supplement instead. Moms should take the Joint Support Plus for Cats from breeding through lactation. The dosage should be one chew per 10 lbs of body weight. However, we do have a caution statement on both CBD Mega and Chillax with Hemp Supplement that says, "Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. An examination from a veterinarian is recommended prior to using this product." Due to this caution statement, these are NOT recommended for pregnant or nursing dogs without speaking to your pet's veterinarian first.
